🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1960, a witness in Agnes, Oregon, reported a jet aircraft flying north and making a sharp turn east. According to the testimony, a possible explosion was heard and a parachute was seen descending rapidly. The observation lasted only five seconds, raising some doubts about its credibility. Two F-89 aircraft were later dispatched to investigate, but darkness prevented effective observation. Despite the investigations, no known air traffic correlated with this sighting.
Analysts from Project 10073 considered that an event of this nature would normally last longer than five seconds. This suggested that either the reported time was incorrect or the account was not accurate. Nevertheless, if the report was true, it involved a known object, an aircraft. The case was filed without a definitive resolution, but it left open questions about what actually happened that day.
