🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1960, a witness in Boston Harbor observed a star-like object. The object, as bright as Polaris, was moving rapidly from north to south, following a path that took it from near Polaris almost to the zenith. Although a possible link to the Echo satellite was mentioned, the official report considered it inconsistent with known characteristics. The observer used binoculars and noted that the object appeared to flicker, as if in orbit. Its speed and brightness made it stand out, but it could not be identified with certainty.
Analysts from Project 10073 concluded there was insufficient data to determine the object's nature. Known satellites like 59 Epsilon 2 and 60 Theta were ruled out due to mismatched observations. Despite the lack of resolution, the detailed testimony and context make this a fascinating case in the study of unidentified aerial phenomena.
