🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1960, a witness in Cedarville, Ohio, observed a round, white object with a reddish tint that appeared and disappeared on the horizon. The object remained stationary for 1.5 minutes, and a dog barked at it. The witness estimated it was 50 miles away, though no photos were taken and no optical instruments were used. The Air Force concluded there was insufficient data for a valid evaluation, noting that the object's characteristics could resemble a refraction of an astronomical body, but no first-magnitude stars or planets were visible in the reported location.
