🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1960, a civilian pilot in Colorado sighted a luminous object near Goodland, Kansas. The object, described as the size of a half-dollar with a bright blue-green trail, was moving faster than a jet. The pilot, along with two passengers, observed the phenomenon for a few seconds before it disappeared instantly to the west. Although initially considered a UFO, later analysis suggested it could have been a meteor due to its duration and characteristics.
The sighting description, along with the lack of photographs or recordings, generated some ambiguity. However, the report concluded that the object's features could not be identified with certainty. The weather conditions and exact location of the sighting were recorded, and the case was shared with several air units and intelligence centers for evaluation. Ultimately, it was considered that there was not enough information to classify the event definitively.
