🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A pilot from Eastern Airlines reported in November 1960 having observed a white object resembling a rocket or missile with a white tail. The sighting occurred north of Louisville, Kentucky, at an approximate altitude of 20,000 feet. Although the pilot indicated the object was visible for 30 seconds, investigators suggested it could have been a meteor. The description and trajectory of the object matched those of a falling celestial body. There were no photographic or radar records, which made a more precise evaluation difficult.
