🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
On December 3, 1960, Airman Richard M. Raminiecki of the U.S. Air Force observed a white, round object over Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi. The object, the size of an average star, showed no flicker or tail and moved in a straight path from west to east. It was visible for five minutes, starting at an elevation of 24 degrees and disappearing near the horizon. Although the sighting was initially considered as possibly a satellite, no definitive confirmation was obtained. The observation was made with the naked eye, and weather and wind data were recorded to support the report.
The report includes precise azimuth and elevation measurements and notes that the object made no sound. Despite a request for satellite information, no response was received. The Air Force classified the case as a "possible satellite" due to the observed characteristics, but no clear conclusion was reached. The report was filed under Project 10073, an Air Force initiative to document and analyze unidentified flying objects.
