🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A circular object with a pulsating red light was observed in Herman, Pennsylvania, in December 1960. Two witnesses noticed the phenomenon while walking along a road. The object, estimated to be about 1000 feet high, had a fluorescent glow on both sides and stopped and resumed movement multiple times. Before it accelerated rapidly toward the west, a white flash was seen near the red light. Later, another similar object appeared from the west and disappeared on the horizon.
The official report suggested several explanations, from balloons to aircraft, but none were convincing. The witnesses failed to get further help to investigate the phenomenon, and the case was considered insufficient data. Despite the limitations, the detailed description of the object and its unusual behavior remains intriguing for UFO researchers.
