🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A witness in Virginia, Minnesota, observed a round object the size of a tennis ball, glowing between white and red. It appeared at about 1500 feet in the northwest and remained stationary for 20 minutes before fading out quickly. Because it didn't move and matched the position of the star Vega, investigators concluded it was an astronomical body. The lack of movement and the witness's description supported this conclusion.
The report, dated December 1960, was classified under Project 10073 and sent to several military units for analysis. Although it might initially seem like an unexplained phenomenon, the match with Vega and the duration of the sighting provided a clear explanation. This case is an example of how UFO sightings often have a natural explanation, even if not immediately obvious.
