🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In December 1960, a military officer in Bentwaters, England, reported an unidentified flying object. The witness described a round object the size of a half-dollar, with a bright green center and yellowish-green edges. It appeared to move at high speed, maintaining a straight path with a rotating motion. The object appeared at 55-60 degrees elevation and disappeared behind a cloud deck. Another observer, four miles north, also reported seeing a meteor at the same time. Although there were no satellites reentering, the data matched a meteor. The official conclusion pointed to an astronomical explanation as the most likely.
