🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In January 1961, a witness in Bothell, Washington, observed two objects described as burnt-orange in color and moving swiftly westward. The first appeared to tumble as it fell, and as it disappeared, a second object emerged from a cloud, displaying the same behavior. The sighting lasted six minutes, and while aircraft were considered, the possibility of military experiments or rockets was also noted. The witness, frustrated by what she considered unexplained phenomena, insisted they be investigated.
The Air Force concluded there was insufficient evidence to determine the nature of the objects, though Paine Field, a nearby airport, was mentioned as a possible source. The witness, who had no photographic or instrumental aid, described the objects as unusual and suggested they could be rocket launches. Despite doubts, her testimony was carefully recorded, including sketches and directional estimates. The case remains unresolved, but its documentation is part of the UFO archives from the era.
