🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In January 1961, a witness in Holt, Minnesota, observed a bright blue-white object the size of a basketball. The object appeared directly over their car and moved in a straight line toward the horizon. No sound was heard, and the object broke up into small luminous chunks before disappearing. The witness, considered very reliable, and four passengers confirmed the sighting. Despite clear visibility, the object's identity remained unknown.
The Air Force received several similar reports that month, all pointing to an object behaving like a meteor burning up before reaching Earth. However, the report did not reach a definitive conclusion. Explanations such as balloons, aircraft, or astronomical phenomena were dismissed, but the object's nature could not be determined with certainty. The case remains unresolved, added to the UFO records of the time.
