In January 1961, several witnesses in Akron, Ohio, reported seeing an unidentified object with a red-orange plate-like shape. The phenomenon occurred around 10:30 PM, and observers described an object that appeared twice the size of the moon. The object's unusual shape, with a "cut-off" top, caused confusion.
