🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In January 1961, a civilian in Newark, New Jersey, observed a dark, wingless object moving slowly across the sky. The witness, who was in a car, described it as resembling a jet but without wings. The object moved from east to west and disappeared behind a house. Although the witness heard a sound like a jet plane, there were no other witnesses to confirm the sighting. Due to the lack of additional information, the Air Force concluded that there was insufficient data for a definitive evaluation.
The report includes details about the witness's location, weather conditions, and a detailed description of the object. The witness even sent a letter to the Air Force requesting more information but received no clear response. The official document, part of Project 10073, shows how cases without sufficient support were categorized as "insufficient for evaluation." Despite the ambiguity, the testimony reflects the public curiosity and interest in unidentified aerial phenomena at the time.
