In February 1961, a crew of a WV-2 aircraft reported observing an unidentified object. The incident occurred in the Atlantic, at coordinates 43.17N 37.30W. The object was described as white, round or oval, and shone brighter than any visible star. Observers watched it for 30 minutes, and its movement coincided with the setting of Venus, leading to its classification as an astronomical event.
