🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1961, a witness in San Bernardino, California, reported a mysterious object that appeared as a bright sphere, slightly larger than the planet Venus. The object changed color from golden to a pinkish-white as it moved from the western to the eastern horizon. The witness, a civilian deemed reliable, observed the phenomenon for three minutes. The detailed description of its movement and color changes caught the attention of air authorities, who considered the possibility of it being an aircraft, though no photos or radar records were taken.
The official assessment concluded it could be an aircraft, as the time and trajectory matched what would be possible for a plane at high altitude. However, the brightness and color shift didn't easily align with conventional objects. Despite no conclusive evidence, the report was deemed credible, as other family members corroborated the sighting. This case is part of the many reports that fueled curiosity about unexplained aerial phenomena during that era.
