🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1961, a ship in the Atlantic reported the observation of two flying objects. One appeared on the starboard side and the other on the port side, both at about 160 degrees true. The objects were moving quickly, one heading at 90 degrees and the other at 110 degrees, leading the observers to think they might be missiles. The sighting lasted about 40 minutes, and smoke trails were still visible past 20:00 GMT. Despite the duration and detailed description, investigators concluded there was not enough evidence to determine the nature of the objects. Possibilities like meteors or planets were ruled out due to the unusual speed and trajectory.
