Summary

In March 1961, a witness at Carswell AFB, Texas, reported seeing two bright silver, round objects the size of nickels. The objects appeared side by side directly above the base hospital at 40,000 feet. One vanished upward, while the other moved southward. The sighting lasted five minutes, and no sound was heard.

The Air Force concluded the objects were likely high-flying aircraft, specifically B-58s, which can appear disc-like from the ground. However, the witness, a maintenance technician, had a prior head injury and his account was considered unreliable. Despite this, no physical evidence or clear alternative explanations were found for the event.
