🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A 36-year-old man observed an object that appeared as a fixed star on the dark rim of the moon on March 21, 1951. The object emitted white light and remained stationary for five minutes. The witness, a foreman at a Transwestern Oil Pipeline pumping station, described the phenomenon from his property, located five miles north of Roswell, New Mexico. Although the report doesn't mention other witnesses, his wife corroborated the observation. The weather was clear with excellent visibility, allowing for a sharp view of the sky. Due to the duration and precise location of the object, investigators considered it worth recording, though they ultimately concluded it was likely just a regular star.
