🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1961, a witness in Gulkana, Alaska, spotted a rectangular object tapering to a point. He described it as the size of a baseball, with a bright white coating that turned yellow at the end. The object moved slowly from south to north, apparently without propulsion, making the witness think it could be a meteor. However, due to only one witness and no photos taken, the official evaluation was deemed insufficient data.
The official report from Project 10073 classified the sighting as "insufficient data" and could not determine the object's nature with certainty. Although weather balloons, aircraft, and astronomical phenomena were ruled out, investigators considered it could be a satellite or a low-flying aircraft. No activity was recorded in FAA logs, adding mystery to the case. The single testimony and detailed description make this an intriguing case in UFO history.
