🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1961, four Taiwanese pilots reported observing a bullet-like object with a flaming tail in the sky near Taiwan. The object, described as blue-green with a red flame and a white tail, was moving east-west at high altitude. Observers agreed it made no maneuvers and maintained a constant speed. Initially thought to be a meteor, the detailed description and presence of a contrail-like tail generated some confusion. The investigation concluded it was likely an astronomical phenomenon, though other possibilities were not ruled out.
The report, classified under Project 10073, collects testimonies from pilots who observed the object for 10 to 15 seconds. Minor discrepancies in descriptions were noted, but all agreed on the object's appearance and trajectory. Despite the lack of photographic or radar evidence, the collected data indicated the event had no clear explanation, making it an intriguing case in UFO history.
