🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1961, a U.S. Air Force pilot reported an unidentified flying object (UFO) during a mission near Hawaii. The aircraft was at an altitude of 16,000 feet when the observer noticed a bright object moving rapidly across the sky. The UFO was described as a luminous point with the brightness of a star, but its movement clearly distinguished it from fixed stars. The object moved in a straight line and disappeared from the pilot's field of view due to the limitations of the cockpit configuration.
The Air Force investigated the incident and compared it with other satellite reports, but no clear explanation was found. The possibility of it being a planet or meteorite was ruled out due to its speed and size. Despite checks with the space tracking system, the object could not be definitively identified. The report concluded that it posed no threat, but no definitive conclusion about its nature was reached.
