🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In 1961, a pilot reported a very bright and fast-moving object with an intensity similar to the star Sirius. The sighting occurred at 20:56 GMT in the Mediterranean Sea near coordinates 3742N 0042E. The object was observed briefly and measured at an altitude of 59 degrees, 49 minutes, and 15 seconds. Although several explanations such as satellite, meteor, or aircraft were considered, the limited data prevented a definitive conclusion.
