🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1961, a woman in Highland Park, Illinois, observed a round, white glowing object in the sky, described as the size of an egg. The incident occurred at 21:00 local time when the witness noticed a light moving southward, behaving like an aircraft with blinking lights. Although she called six family members, they failed to see the object by the time it had moved. The official evaluation concluded that the phenomenon was likely of astronomical origin, linked to the star Altair, whose position matched the witness's description. The investigation found no conclusive evidence of an unidentified object, but the refraction characteristics and the star's location suggested a natural explanation.
