Summary

In June 1961, a witness in Montgomery, Alabama, observed a bright star-shaped object moving slowly and erratically. The object, the size of a pinhead, did not twinkle like a normal star and occasionally moved in slight streaks. Despite its great height, it remained visible for 10 minutes and was heading toward the southern horizon. The initial report suggested it could be a balloon, but weather conditions did not support that theory.

A T-33 fighter attempted to intercept the object without success, and the pilot did not see it. Winds at 60,000 feet were weak and would not have moved a balloon out of the area in that time. Ultimately, the case was classified as "insufficient data for evaluation." This document reflects the uncertainty and complexity of UFO reports from that era, where observations often did not fit conventional categories.
