A 1951 report describes the observation of an unidentified flying object in Papua New Guinea. A couple saw it at dawn for 15 minutes. The bright object, possibly delta-winged, moved northeast without making noise. Although witnesses considered it as an aircraft or balloon, investigators suggested it could have been an astronomical phenomenon caused by atmospheric refraction.
