🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A civilian observer in Dexter, Missouri, reported a bright object with color changes in 1961. The phenomenon was seen for over two hours, appearing like a reddish and blue-white star. Although witnesses initially ruled out planets, investigators concluded it was likely Venus viewed through a haze layer. The observation included a sudden disappearance, causing confusion. The duration and location suggested it wasn't an aircraft or balloon. Visual confusion due to weather conditions played a key role in interpreting the event.
