🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1961, a B-52 crew flying over Montana observed two bright star-like objects. The objects appeared three minutes apart and were three to four times brighter than a satellite. Seen with the naked eye and a sextant, the objects moved in a straight line and disappeared near the sun. Despite clear conditions and the observer's experience, no definitive identification was made.
The official evaluation considered the objects could be aircraft, though no clear features confirmed this. The west-to-east trajectory ruled out satellites. The report concluded the case remained unidentified, highlighting the importance of pilot testimonies in the investigation of unconventional aerial phenomena.
