🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1961, a witness in Dayton, Ohio observed a bright object in the sky resembling a star. The report details that the object was seen for 5 to 8 minutes and did not disappear. Investigators concluded it was likely Venus, as it matched its expected position and brightness. The witness described it as hazy and apparently large, explained by a thin overcast. Although initially puzzling, the analysis confirmed it was a known astronomical phenomenon.
