🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1961, a witness in Hamilton, Ohio, observed a bright red object in the sky. The phenomenon lasted about two minutes, although the witness was unsure of the exact duration. The object appeared directly overhead and moved toward the northeast, disappearing near an air base. It was estimated to be about half the size of a full moon. Despite the description, researchers could not determine its nature with certainty.
The official report did not reach definitive conclusions. Possibilities such as a balloon, an aircraft, or an astronomical phenomenon were considered, but none were confirmed. The witness did not report a specific shape or additional details, which complicated the analysis. Although the possibility of an aircraft light was mentioned, no concrete conclusion could be made. This case reflects the typical ambiguity of many sightings from that era, where the lack of precise data prevents a clear resolution.
