🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1961, an observer in Fairborn, Ohio, reported a white and silvery object that appeared overhead and moved northeast. The object was seen for half an hour and described as larger than a star. Due to its trajectory and characteristics, investigators concluded it was likely a weather balloon. Balloons are launched near the area and prevailing winds explain its movement. Although initially considered an unidentified object, a conventional explanation resolved the case.
