🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1961, a U.S. Air Force officer in Roswell, New Mexico, reported observing an object entering the atmosphere. He described a bright fireball with blue, white, red, and green colors, followed by a tail longer than the object itself. The observer, a captain with high reliability, saw the phenomenon for about 10 seconds and placed it at approximately 45 degrees elevation. Although initially considered a UFO possibility, investigators concluded it was likely a meteor.
The Air Force documented the event with precision, including details on location, time, and weather conditions. No further actions were taken, as there were no signs of non-natural activity. The report also noted that no satellites were reentering the atmosphere that day, supporting the theory that it was an astronomical event. Despite initial attention, the case did not lead to further investigations or follow-up.
