🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1961, a woman in Los Angeles observed a luminous object moving erratically across the sky. The object was brighter than a star and displayed an elongated shape with additional lights appearing and disappearing. The witness described it as a solid object that moved rapidly, rotating and accelerating suddenly. Jets from the Hughes airfield attempted to follow it, and witnesses noted that the object vanished within seconds toward the northeast. Although investigators considered the possibility of a research balloon, the object's behavior was unusual.
The observation lasted between 8 and 10 minutes, and the witness, a 34-year-old woman, described the event in detail. She mentioned the sky was clear and that several searchlights illuminated the object. Despite the official report classifying it as a probable balloon, the testimony suggests the object had unusual characteristics that were hard to explain. The report includes witness sketches and a detailed description of the object's movement, making it an intriguing case in the UFO archives.
