UFO in Xenia Ohio during Quadrantids meteor shower

Summary

In January 1962, a civilian in Xenia, Ohio, observed a luminous phenomenon in the sky that appeared to move with a flat trajectory and a slight "V". The object, described as greenish-yellow, is estimated to have been 3-5 miles away at an altitude of about 2000 feet. The witness saw it for 2-3 seconds and noted that it disintegrated at the end of its path. This report coincides with another sighting of a similar object in straight flight with a short tail, observed from a car. Both cases were analyzed by Project 10073, which concluded it was a bolide, a type of bright meteor.
