🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In January 1962, multiple witnesses in Ganado, Arizona, observed a stationary object that displayed color and brightness changes. They saw a reddish-green light that flickered and disappeared and reappeared without moving from its position. A licensed pilot and other civilians described the phenomenon as different from known aircraft or lights. Despite prolonged observations, investigators concluded it might be a light source distorted by the atmosphere. The case was documented with several testimonies and sketches showing shapes resembling an hourglass with purple mist.
