🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In February 1962, a commercial airline pilot reported seeing an object rapidly descending into the sea near Little Saba in the Caribbean. The pilot described a red glow that lit up the sky before the object disappeared at water level. Although initially thought to be a meteor, investigators noted that there were no signs of an object burning up in the atmosphere, which is typical of meteors. Additionally, no satellite decay was recorded for that day, making the explanation uncertain.
The U.S. Air Force received the report and classified it as a possible meteor sighting. Another flight was sent to check the area, but only a ship was reported nearby. The case was ultimately filed as inconclusive and considered unimportant. However, the object's description and behavior remain intriguing for researchers of unexplained phenomena.
