🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In February 1962, a weather observer on St Croix Island in the Caribbean reported seeing an object resembling a large flare or rocket. The object was moving from east to west and appeared to descend south of the island. Although the possibility of it being a flare from a ship or aircraft was considered, there were no precise details on color, duration, or other characteristics.
The lack of detailed information made it impossible to draw a clear conclusion. Investigators considered several options, from a balloon to an astronomical object, but there was not enough data for a definitive assessment. The official report classified the sighting as insufficient for evaluation, leaving the mystery unresolved.
