🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In February 1962, a pilot reported an extremely fast object resembling a large comet. The sighting occurred near the coordinates 31.53 N and 72.05 W, close to Bermuda. The object was moving parallel to the aircraft at an altitude between 9,000 and 12,000 feet, with an estimated speed of over 1,500 knots. The pilot observed it for less than 25 seconds, enough time to note that it was maintaining level flight without climbing or descending. Despite the speed and appearance, investigators concluded it could be a meteor, given the duration and characteristics similar to one. However, the description of the event remains intriguing and still a mystery.
