🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In 1962, a pilot reported a mysterious object in the sky over the Atlantic Ocean. The aircraft was at 26,000 feet when the pilot spotted an object moving parallel to the horizon. It was described as a large ball with a white tail, resembling a comet. The object traveled from west to east and was observed for almost a minute. Despite the detailed description, no photos were taken and there were no additional records to confirm the object's identity.
Investigators considered several possibilities, from weather balloons to satellites or even meteors. However, the lack of additional data and the inability to correlate the sighting with other reports left the case unresolved. The official report concluded there was insufficient information for a conclusive evaluation, and the case was filed as an unclassified observation.
