🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1962, a pilot at Ramstein Air Base in Germany observed a mysterious object that changed appearance several times. The object appeared as a fast aircraft or missile but showed no visible signs of propulsion. The pilot noticed sun flashes on a vertical surface and described shapes ranging from a delta-wing fighter to a Sidewinder missile. Despite his experience, he could not identify the object with certainty.
The investigation concluded it was not a missile, balloon, or known aircraft. A dart-type target was considered but not verified at the base. Ultimately, the case was labeled as unidentified. This report highlights the difficulty pilots face in identifying unconventional objects in the sky, even with experience.
