Summary

In April 1962, a naval crew observed a luminous object traveling northeast. The object was visible for five minutes, with a brightness similar to a second-magnitude star. Despite its visibility, it was not detected by radar. The observation was made by several crew members, who noted that the object moved smoothly and gradually faded away. The sighting occurred near the coordinates 22.40N 125.00E, in an area where no aircraft or balloons were expected. Although a satellite was considered, no radar data confirmed this hypothesis.

The ship that recorded the sighting was the USS Noble, and the report was distributed to several military units in the Pacific. The object did not show characteristics of an astronomical phenomenon or a conventional aircraft. Although no photos were taken, witnesses agreed on the description of the movement and brightness. The report concluded that the object was likely a satellite, though it could not be confirmed due to the lack of radar data. This case remains a mystery in UFO sighting records.
