🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1962, an Air Force base in Hawaii recorded an unidentified object in the Pacific Ocean. The report indicated a satellite was observed moving rapidly northeast. Although initially considered a potential threat, it was later concluded to be the Echo I satellite. The exact location of the sighting was 42°51'N 173°47'W, and the case was evaluated by multiple military agencies. While the matter was quickly resolved, it remains an interesting example of how UFO reports were handled during the Cold War.
