🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1962, an airborne observer reported a bright object resembling a satellite. It was estimated to be at an altitude of over 100,000 feet and moving northeast at tremendous speed. The report did not include photos, but the witness described it clearly. The exact location was recorded as 29°40'N 94°20'W, a remote area of the Atlantic Ocean. The object was observed for a short time, but its speed and altitude generated curiosity.
Researchers considered several explanations, from balloons to aircraft, but there was not enough data for a definitive conclusion. Eventually, it was linked to the satellite Echo I, which was orbiting Earth at that time. Although other possibilities were not ruled out, the report classified it as a satellite case. This document reflects the uncertainty and curiosity surrounding unidentified objects in the 1960s.
