🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1960, near Wake Island, an observer reported a round object the size of a pea. The object was white with a short reddish tail and made no sound. It was seen for five minutes through binoculars, maintaining a constant southeast trajectory. Despite several military personnel observing it, no definitive identification was made. Options considered included balloons, aircraft, or astronomical phenomena, but there were not enough data for a conclusive evaluation. The location and timing of the sighting coincided with an aircraft passing through the area, although it was not confirmed to be the same.
