🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1962, an observer at the USAF Academy in Colorado spotted a pale white object moving at high speed, possibly at Mach 2. The object was seen for three seconds before disappearing abruptly without changes in its light intensity. Although the witness ruled out the possibility of a meteor, the report's data does not contradict this hypothesis. The report includes no photographs or radar data, and the only possible conclusion is that there is insufficient information for a definitive evaluation.
The observer, considered reliable and a pilot, did not use visual aids, adding credibility to the testimony. The object's trajectory was nearly horizontal, shifting direction from 120° to 70°, and no adverse weather conditions were recorded. Despite the brief sighting, the object's characteristics and movement generated an official report that remains without a clear explanation.
