🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1962, near Iceland, an observer reported a visual sighting of an unidentified object. The encounter occurred at 23:46 and lasted about two minutes. The object was described as round, white, and similar in size to the star Dubhe. It moved along a fixed path, without behavior typical of a satellite, balloon, or conventional aircraft. Despite details such as course and position being recorded, no clear conclusion about its nature was reached.
The available data were limited, and satellite activity was ruled out due to location and timing. The official report concluded that there was insufficient information to evaluate the phenomenon with certainty. This case is part of a series of UFO reports from the era that reflect uncertainty and the need for more data to understand such events.
