🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1962, a nuclear engineer in Fort Worth, Texas, along with his sons, observed a bright object three times that did not appear to be a meteorite, balloon, or aircraft. The object, described as egg-shaped and without a tail or exhaust, reflected sunlight and did not lose brightness until it disappeared below the horizon. The sightings were made using binoculars and a telescope, and the observers were amateur astronomers with a solid understanding of celestial movement. The object appeared at different times and directions, creating uncertainty about its nature.
Air authorities investigated the reports and ruled out conventional air activity. However, radar systems in the area recorded unusual behaviors, such as targets splitting and reuniting. Although it was suggested the object might be an Earth satellite, no clear explanation was reached. The report concluded that there was insufficient data to evaluate the phenomenon. The observer attempted to obtain film footage, but it was not received at analysis facilities, complicating further study.
