In April 1962, a NASA pilot captured images on film during an X-15 mission, an experimental high-altitude aircraft. The film showed cylindrical or irregular-shaped objects moving in the sky. Although initially considered as possible unidentified objects, NASA later identified them as ice flakes shed from the aircraft. However, the story sparked controversy, as some experts questioned the official explanation, noting that the objects didn't seem to be mere ice particles.
