🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1962, multiple witnesses in Indiana observed a luminous, multicolored object moving rapidly eastward. The object, described as white, blue, yellow, orange, and red, was seen for 3 to 5 seconds and had a bright tail. Initially considered a meteor or balloon, investigators concluded it did not match known natural phenomena. The object's trajectory and speed suggested to observers it might be a self-powered projectile.
Witnesses included professionals such as engineers and industrial supervisors, whose accounts aligned on key details like size, direction, and color. Despite no photographs or satellite reentry data, military investigators ruled out common astronomical events. The official report classified it as a possible UFO, though no definitive conclusion was reached.
