Summary

In June 1962, a military pilot observed three bright objects in the sky over Indianapolis, Indiana, during the early morning hours. The objects, resembling first-magnitude stars, appeared one after another and moved in different directions. The first descended toward the horizon in 20-30 seconds, while the other two maintained a steady motion for several minutes. The pilot, who ruled out reflections or meteors, could not identify them. The brightness remained unchanged throughout, and they were seen from different windows of the aircraft, ruling out an optical phenomenon. Despite clear conditions and the observer's experience, the objects remained unidentified, adding a mystery to this Cold War case.
