UFO in Baltimore 1962

Summary

A reddish object was seen over Baltimore in 1962 during sunset. Witnesses described an oval shape, similar to a football with rounded ends, glowing with varying intensity as if rotating. The object made no sound or trail and remained visible for 4-5 minutes before disappearing suddenly while still in the sky. Despite multiple observations, it was not identified as an aircraft or balloon.

The official evaluation classified it as "Echo I", an unexplained phenomenon. Weather data and exact coordinates of the sighting were recorded, but no conventional explanation was found. This case remains one of many in UFO history that resist a clear explanation.
